The Andro was a luxury yacht that was converted to a patrol boat during World War II. It was sunk to be converted into an artificial reef in 1985, by a controlled explosion prepared by the Miami bomb squad.

The wreck lies at a depth of 103 ft, and is the only refuge in a sea of sand, which makes it a haven for countless species. It is a site characterized by large schools of various species of fish, as well as large animals such as nurse sharks.

The former yacht was adapted for war, so it is possible to see the mounts for the machine guns. It has a very picturesque wheelhouse and two large chimneys covered in underwater flora. There are soft corals covering the entire perimeter of the boat, making the Andro very attractive for photography.
