The Serengeti area, located in an intertropical zone, is characterized by its Sabana ecosystem, with two contrasting seasons in terms of rainfall. The central zone presents us with extensive plains with little tree cover. As we head north, we enter a mountainous area with increasing vegetation. Several perennial rivers cross this valley, allowing many animals to inhabit this region throughout the year. This combination of location and residents attracts a very high concentration of predators.
